My name is Gabe Carey, Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Acceleramota. For nearly a decade, I've covered consumer technology for a wide range of publications. It started with a blog I created in my childhood bedroom. As a teenager in rural Maryland, I had thoughts about technology: consumer gadgets, the state of the industry, and its symbiotic relationship with video games. Before starting my own venture, I laid the foundation for Acceleramota as a short-lived automotive vertical at another independent tech publication. I was also the affiliate manager for what was once Gizmodo Media Group, now called G/O Media – the publisher behind Jalopnik, Lifehacker, The Onion, and of course Gizmodo itself. I later served as Editor-in-Chief of The Inventory, aka the Kinja Deals site. While my recent experience is in management and business operations for digital media organizations, I'm a tech journalist by trade. In both full-time and freelance capacities, I have contributed news, features, reviews, and product guides to a long list of publishers. Beyond The Shortcut and The Inventory, you can find more of my past writing on PC Gamer, GamesRadar, PCMag, TechRadar, Tom's Hardware, Digital Trends, and more.
